The Last Ride

Trailer: The Last Ride - Mozark Productions

Hank Williams' final days are portrayed in "The Last Ride," a road movie that to seems to mirror "On the Road" a bit. Here, Henry Thomas plays the legendary country artist, being shuttled to his next gig by a young man, played by Jesse James.

The trailer seems to have a good, independent vibe to it, and it could be interesting. The cinematography has that worn-in feel that reflects its time.

Piranha 3DD

Trailer: Piranha 3DD - Weinstein Company

Yes, there actually is a sequel to "Piranha 3D!" And, yes the "DD" in "Piranha 3DD" is what you think it is! This installment is directed by John Gulager. Most don't know him. But, I was a real fan of "Project Greenlight," the reality series founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. It concerned amateur filmmakers vying to helm a $1 million budget independent film. In Season Three, which was also the last season, Gulager won. Since then, he has been the only successful product of the show, making low-budget films like this.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Trailer: The Amazing Spider-Man - Columbia Pictures

One of those "Who Asked for This?" movies! It seems like we just got done with Sam Raimi's three Spider-Man movies, now we have this one. Should we really be looking forward to this? I personally didn't get much out of the previous series. So, I am not exactly jumping up and down thinking about this movie!

It does seem to be a well-made movie, so there's that. But, will there be enough to get viewers into the theater? You'll have to decide!
